Nebraska state flag was adopted in 1963. The flag was designed in 1925 with a state seal on the background. It was not officially made the state flag until 1957. In 2003, it was voted as the second worst flag in the nation by the North American Vexillological Association. The state discussed to adopt a new flag in 2002 but, as of now, the flag remains unchanged to date.
